COMBAT
Espers (Elements)
Each character has a unique Esper that defines their damage type and team synergies. There are 6 Espers in NTE. Combining the right Espers in a team activates Esper Cycles, powerful passive bonuses and effects.
Cosmos
Anima
Incantation
Chaos
Psyché
Lakshana Arcs (Weapons)
Arcs are the weapons in NTE. There are 5 types: Solid, Liquid, Gas, Bose, and Plasma. Each character can only equip their compatible Arc type. Avoid upgrading blue (rare) Arcs. Some legendary Arcs can be obtained for free through Anomaly Commissions.
Cartridges
Cartridges are your characters' main equipment. They have a random main stat (crit chance, Anima damage bonus…) and variable secondary stats. You obtain them exclusively through dungeons. Wait until you have purple Cartridges minimum before spending resources on them.
Modules
Modules are obtained using tokens (bronze, silver, gold) found in dungeons. Their main stat is fixed in the beta, but secondary stats are random. Aim for crit rate, crit damage, and attack.
Dodge
The dodge simply allows you to avoid taking damage. Use it as soon as an enemy attack comes to avoid it cleanly.
Parry
When you see a red circle appear, strike at that exact moment: the enemy loses a large amount of Break. This is the most effective mechanic to quickly deplete the white bar.
Break Bar
The white bar under enemies is the Break Bar. When it reaches zero, the enemy is stunned. In auto-combat, it's managed automatically; but if you parry manually, you deplete it much faster.
Cancel Swap
NTE allows you to swap characters mid-animation. This is the Cancel Swap. That's why you generally run 2 DPS: while one finishes their animation, the other can already attack, maximizing continuous damage output.
Team Composition
A team consists of 4 characters. The optimal setup is 2 DPS + 1 Buffer + 1 Healer. Thanks to the Cancel Swap (swapping characters mid-animation), you chain damage without interruption.
Esper Cycles
Each character has an Esper. Combining the right Espers in a team triggers Esper Cycles: passive bonuses and special effects activated by using Espers in a specific order. Your character rotation must follow a specific order to activate these effects.
Two main team families
TEAM A
Chaos
Incantation
Psyché TEAM B
Lakshana
Anima
Cosmos Aim for at least 3 complementary Espers in the same team.
Esper Cycle List
To trigger an Esper Cycle, use the support skill of the character matching the required Esper. Here are all available cycles:
Anima
Incantation Deals an additional instance of follow-up attack DMG to the target equivalent to 20% of the Anima and Incantation DMG taken in 12s after triggering.
Chaos
Psyché Applies Nova to the target for 5s. When the effect expires, the target takes a massive amount of Psyche DMG.
Incantation
Chaos Applies the Scorch effect to the target for 15s, dealing damage over time after triggering.
Chaos
Psyché
Incantation Reduces a percentage of the target's Break effect when it is simultaneously affected by Nova and Scorch.
Psyché
Lakshana Increases Psyche and Lakshana DMG taken by the target by 20% for 12s after triggering.
Lakshana
Cosmos The target enters Remora for 5s, slowing their movement and attack speed. The effect fades over time and its duration will be shorter if applied repeatedly.
Cosmos
Anima Generates 1 Life Tree near the target, sprouting 5 Life Flowers. The Flowers fly toward nearby targets, exploding every 2s and dealing AoE DMG. Up to 3 Life Trees can exist on the field at once.
Cosmos
Lakshana
Anima Grants the active character 10 additional Ultimate Energy when Life Flowers hit targets affected by the Remora effect.

PROGRESSION
Hunter Level
The Hunter Level is your account level. It rises through exploration, quests, and spending Pixels. The maximum level is 60. This is your absolute priority as a beginner.
Assessment Level (World Level)
The Hunter Level unlocks the Assessment Level (world level). The higher it is, the more HP bosses have, but the more generous the Pixel rewards become.
Top priority: Reach Assessment 7 (level 55) before anything else. At this level, every Pixel spent yields far more resources than at Assessment 1.
Wertheimer Towers
Unlocks the area on your map: you can see buildings and everything inside them. Activate them first in every new area.
Phone Booths
These are the teleporters of the game. Unlock them to fast travel between areas.
Gifts of the 21st
Hidden chests scattered across the open world. Collecting them grants account XP and resources.
Oracle Stones (Ravens)
Ravens visible in the open world. Turn in these oracle stones to the "black bird" character to obtain Annulith (pulls) and account XP.
Anomaly Commissions
One-time, non-repeatable missions. They reward Hunter XP, pulls, Fons, and free legendary Arcs. Absolutely do not skip these.
Quests & Priorities
Quests are divided into main quests (story), side quests, and daily quests. Do the story first, then focus on exploration. Dailies give Hunter XP and pulls: complete them every day.
Events
Events are a major source of pulls and resources. Participate as soon as they're available and complete them before they expire. The Hunter Log (available in events) also gives a free Arc.
Pink Paws Heist
The most profitable early-game activity: up to 1 million Fons per week. A bank heist where you collect items within a time limit. A dedicated guide will be available soon.
Tip: The exploration guide offers small bonus missions that give quick XP. Check it regularly.
Weekly Anomalies: These bosses must be completed 3 times per week. They allow you to upgrade certain characters' skills. Don't miss them.
Tycoon Level
This level rises by purchasing an apartment, completing quests, and buying a vehicle. It unlocks important rewards. Work on it alongside your main quests.
Apartments
Each apartment offers Anomaly furniture to purchase, which grants active combat bonuses (durability reduction, skill bonuses…). Some bonuses are genuinely useful, so prioritize apartments early.
Businesses (Café, etc.)
Businesses generate passive Fons. Restock your inventory every day (or every 3 days). Your management level rises when you collect your earnings: the higher it is, the better recipes you unlock and the more money you earn. Early on, avoid the 72h stock since you'll level up very quickly.
RESOURCES
Pixels
Pixels are the main energy resource in the game (equivalent to resin). Maximum: 240. They regenerate continuously — never let them reach the cap, or regeneration stops. Use them daily.
Spending Priority Order
Resources to level up your DPS characters and their key skills.
Resources to upgrade your Arcs (purple minimum only, never blue).
Farm Cartridges in dungeons — this is your main activity until endgame.
Tip: Wait until you have purple Cartridges minimum before spending resources on them. Legendary (yellow) ones will come later. Don't blow everything on low-rank Cartridges.
City Stamina
City Stamina is separate from Pixels. It regenerates every Monday at 5:00 AM. It is used for Hethereau Hobbies content: racing, deliveries, fast travel, fishing, and other mini-games that reward Fons.
Pity System
There is no 50/50. The limited character is guaranteed at pity 90. The probability increases starting at 70 pulls. Each pull can give an A-Class, an S-Class, or resources.
Pulls
The main sources are: daily quests, events (major source), exploration, and the Hunter Log (in events, also gives a free Arc). Do not skip events.
Arcs
Arc keys are rare. Prefer saving them for character banners rather than weapon banners. Instead of pulling for a character's Arc, aim for their premium team (the characters that make them strongest).

ENDGAME
