Wuthering Waves FAQ

Where should I start with Wuthering Waves?

If you are new, start with the tier list to see who is worth investing in, then the guide for the character you play, for their build and rotation. The Team Builder takes over once you have three characters levelled and want to know who to run them with.

What is the difference between the Tier List and the DPR ranking?

The DPR ranking measures: it gives a team's damage over one calculated rotation under stated conditions. The tier list judges: it weighs what a character brings to the teams they can join, how consistent they are, and what Supports contribute through healing and buffs, which no damage total captures. The method behind both is public.

How do I know whether my build is good?

The Echo Analyzer scores a build out of 100 from a screenshot: 20 points for the set, 10 for the main Echo, 10 for main stats, 60 for substats, minus a penalty if Energy Regen falls below what the rotation needs.

Are the tools free, and do I need an account?

Everything is free and nothing needs an account to read: guides, tier list, DPR ranking, calculators. An account is only needed for the tools that save something for you, such as the pull tracker or the Matrix Planner.

How often is the site updated?

Every patch. Character guides are reviewed again when a kit changes, a weapon lands or the teams shift, and each one shows the date it was last checked. The tier list keeps its own change history, tier by tier.

How do I work out my odds before pulling?

The wish calculator estimates your odds from your pity and how many pulls you have. For Echoes, the substat probability tool gives your chances of rolling the spread you want, and the pack comparison ranks the offers by value.
