A 5★ echo has 5 substat slots, revealed one at a time at +5, +10, +15, +20 and +25. Each reveal draws one of 13 substat types, all with strictly equal weight (1 in 13), and never repeats a type already on the echo. The value of each substat is then drawn separately, from a weighted table specific to that type.
How is the probability shown here calculated?
The chance a fresh echo carries exactly the k desired types among its 5 substats is pure draw-without-replacement combinatorics: C(13-k, 5-k) / C(13, 5). If minimum value thresholds are set, each one adds an independent factor (the summed weight of the roll tiers that clear it), multiplied onto the type probability.
What is the difference between “Echo” and “Tuner”?
On an echo, all 5 substats are drawn at once from the 13 types. With a Tuner, you lock the substats your echo already has (up to 4): they leave the draw, and the Tuner rerolls the remaining slots at random.
Where do the values and weights used here come from?
The value tables and weights are built into the calculator. The number of echoes or Modifies shown is a mathematical expectation (1 / probability), not a guarantee.
